ASAM 3.5 LoC - LGBTQ+ & Ally Inpatient Drug and Alcohol Treatment Services  (30 Day Program)

B. Riley House’s thirty-four (34)-bed residential program is designed to assist clients in developing the working knowledge, understanding, and attitude necessary for successful long-term recovery. This program is specifically for LGBTQ+ and Allied clients aged eighteen (18) years or older. It provides individualized treatment in a thirty (30)-day freestanding, residential setting, with the overall purpose of complete abstinence from mind-and-mood-altering substances. This success is most effectively maintained through the development of an autonomous spiritual way of life based on the 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous/Narcotics Anonymous/Al-Anon.

B. Riley House operates on a sliding fee scale and accepts most insurances.

Treatment services include assessment, case management, crisis intervention, individual/group counseling, urinalysis, peer-support services, and room/board.

These treatment services address the following behavioral health areas: alcohol, marijuana, heroin, cocaine, prescription drugs, and illicit drug abuse and dependence. Characteristics associated with the adult LGBTQ+ population served include, but are not limited to, indigent LGBTQ+ individuals with substance use disorders, homeless persons with mental illness and/or co-occurring substance use disorders, and LGBTQ+ individuals with substance use disorders within the criminal justice/judicial systems.

B. Riley House’s intake program involves working with clients in the areas of client treatment services, initial evaluation, crisis intervention, family intervention, referral, and general access to B. Riley House’s treatment services and community resources.

ASAM 3.1 LoC - Halfway House

B. Riley House’s halfway program is designed to assist clients in developing the working knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary for successful long-term recovery. This program is specifically for LGBTQ+ adults aged eighteen (18) years or older who have completed a drug and alcohol residential program and/or have been assessed and referred by a community provider, meeting the criteria for this level of care.

At B. Riley House, all clients are expected to actively participate in individual, group, family, and couple therapies as appropriate. The primary counselor for residents at B. Riley House collaborates on creating a comprehensive treatment plan tailored to each individual’s unique needs. In addition to clinical work conducted with residents from our partner agencies, 12-step facilitators lead group sessions on off days. Participation in outside 12-step self-help groups is mandatory for residents enrolled in our residential halfway program.
